Our Faith
At St. Pius X Parish, our faith is the center of everything we do. Rooted in the two-thousand-year tradition of the Catholic Church, we celebrate the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the sacraments, Scripture, and community life.
The Catholic Faith
The Catholic Church teaches that Jesus Christ — true God and true man — founded his Church upon the Apostles, beginning with Saint Peter. This Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, has preserved and proclaimed the faith throughout the centuries.
As Catholics, we believe in the Holy Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and profess our faith through the Nicene Creed, proclaimed at every Mass. We receive grace through the seven sacraments instituted by Christ: Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony.
Sacred Scripture and Tradition
The Catholic Church holds Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition as the two pillars of Divine Revelation. Together they form one deposit of faith. The Magisterium — the teaching authority of the Church — interprets this deposit faithfully for each generation.
We encourage parishioners to read the Bible regularly, participate in our adult Bible study groups, and attend faith formation programs offered throughout the year.
The Eucharist — Source and Summit
The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. At every Mass, bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Christ — the Real Presence — through the words of consecration. We invite all registered Catholics in good standing to receive Holy Communion at our Masses.
