John 16:20-23

Jesus tells his disciples that when he leaves life will go on as usual for the world, but they will feel lost in grief and despair. But like the mother in labor forgets the pain once she has her newborn child in her arms, their joy at seeing him in glory will cause them to forget their suffering.

I pray for all who grieve the loss of something or someone. May they be held up by the presence and prayers of others until their grief turns to joy.
