John 18:1-19:42

Beginning with his arrest and concluding with his burial, Jesus is on his human journey through his passion and ultimately to his elevation on the cross. This has been referenced more than once in John’s Gospel, as the means to his glorification.

It is so meaningful to enter fully into the proclamation of the passion. I am as close as is possible to being present in that time and space, to witness, to participate, to feel despair, and to grieve.
