Matthew 16:13-19

Jesus poses two questions to his disciples, both having to do with who he is. He first asks about public speculation. Then he asks a more personal question: What do they believe about him? Peter takes the lead as spokesperson for the group and confesses his and their belief in him, the Messiah.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us as we strive to live out the vision and mission of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
