Matthew 7:21-29

Jesus continues berating the false prophets but now includes the disciples in his attack. Though one may perform mighty deeds in the name of the Lord, if he leads a corrupt life he will not gain entrance into the kingdom of God. He likens the relationship between word and action to the foundations on which a house is built, one on rock and one on sand.

We pray for the Church, built on one foundation. May all who lead do so with integrity. May all who follow find the courage to act on their belief.
