Matthew 6:24-34

Jesus is asking that the disciples set aside all anxiety and trust that God will provide. What good is worrying? It certainly does not add to our quality of life. He tells the disciples to look to God’s magnificent care for nature, which illustrates his loving care for all creation.

We pray that you “deliver us from all anxiety” at Mass. Help me to remember that throughout the week, particularly when I allow my anxious thoughts to consume me.
