John 6:1-15

A crowd of five thousand gathers. Even though Jesus has a plan, he asks the disciples if there is food to feed them. They tell him there is a small child with a meager amount of bread and fish. Ceremoniously Jesus takes, blesses, breaks, and gives. There is enough for all.

Lord, you are the bread of life. Just as with the bread in the Gospel, you have taken me, blessed me, and sent me forth to share you with others.
