Matthew 13:10-17

Why not use speech that is simple and direct, the disciples ask? Jesus answers by telling them that they have been blessed with the gift of understanding. Others do not understand what he is saying when he teaches about the kingdom in the simplest ways, so he uses a way that might engage their hearts.
