Matthew 14:22-36

Jesus is alone in prayer while his disciples are at sea. Because of the rough waters, they are not faring well. Jesus comes to their rescue, walking across the water. He calls to Peter, who gets out of the boat but does not last on the surface very long. His ardent love is no match for his insufficient faith.

Why do you tell me to come to you when it is not safe? Better to ask why I don’t trust you. You are always there to catch me when I fall, when I fail.
