John 1: 45-51

Bartholomew was also known as Nathanael, which is why this Gospel is proclaimed on the feast of St. Bartholomew. Jesus is gathering his disciples. Though Nathanael questions if anything good can come from Nazareth, once Jesus shows that he knows him, Nathanael makes a powerful profession of his faith.

I am grateful today, for all those upon whose shoulders I stand. It is because of their belief and by your grace that I have come to believe.
