John 14:1-6

Jesus consoles his troubled disciples by telling them that even though he must leave them for a time, he is going to prepare a place for them so that they can be with him again. Thomas expresses his concern, hinged on a literal understanding of the meaning of “the way.” Jesus tells them that it is in him they know the way to the Father because he is the way.

My human limitations prevent me from fully comprehending what is beyond this life. I am consoled by faith in your reassurance and my hope in being with you.
