Luke 24:35-48

The disciples had been told by witnesses who had seen and talked with Jesus that he had risen. Yet they still were not open to this amazing possibility, and his sudden appearance startled them. He showed them his wounds. He asked them for something to eat. He reminded them of all that was written and all he had told them. He opened their minds and hearts, and he promised them he would send them the Father’s Spirit.

Open my mind, Lord, so that I understand your will. Open my heart, Lord, so that I burn with the desire to carry out your will. Open my eyes, Lord, so that I am able to see you in my neighbor.
